Tyre Rotation

Factors such as vehicle loading, suspension, steering set-up and front or rear wheel drive can impact on how your tyres wear. With regular tyre rotation, you can ensure even tread wear while reducing excessive wear.

For front and rear-wheel drive vehicles, we recommend the ‘cross pattern' method of rotating tyres, which involves rotating tyres front to back and left to right.

Directional tyres are specifically designed to rotate one way, on either the left or right side of the vehicle. If your vehicle has directional tyres fitted, it's recommended to rotate back to front and front to back.

Tyre Pressure

As tyre pressure slowly deflates over time, we advise you to check your tyre pressure at least once a month when your vehicles tyres are cold.

An incorrectly inflated tyre can lead to excessive tyre wear and is dangerous. Over inflation and under inflation can cause irregular tread wear, rapid shoulder wear and eventually weaken the casing.

A properly inflated tyre reduces rolling resistance, therefore reducing fuel consumption, saving you money and minimising the impact to the environment.

Wheel Balancing

If you notice your steering wheel moving up and down, or your seat vibrating when you drive, then you may need a wheel balance. This can be caused by an unbalanced wheel on your vehicle and is often extremely frustrating on long trips, as well as having the potential to be dangerous. Over time, an incorrectly balanced wheel can cause excessive and irregular tyre wear along with damage to your suspension and steering components.

Our trained technicians place your tyre and wheel on our balancing machine to correctly balance a wheel. The balancing machine spins the wheel to locate the imbalance and our technicians then apply small lead weights to the opposite side of the wheel to correct it.
